On RACE 07, as expected, the competition displayed various level of play. While 6 drivers were clearly pretending as the best world’s drivers, 10 others were enthusiasts challengers who managed to create a few surprises.

The ipowergames 2008 finals have just finished here in Paris-Bercy. The highly anticipated Call of Duty 4 tournament was full of surprises as the French team from H2K-Gaming managed to claim victory against the Dutch team of KomaCrew.

Thousands of gamers from Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands have been participating in the ipowergames qualifiers since the 20th of May. Race after race, game after game, only the very best players managed to succeed through these qualifiers. Switzerland, Belgium and the United-Kingdom already held their own qualifiers in April where hundreds of enthusiasts showed up during huge LAN parties.

The rules of the ipowergames finals on Call of Duty 4 and RACE 07 are now available in English. These rules will be used in Paris-Bercy from the 4th to the 6th July during the Paris Gaming Show.

The RACE 07 national finals, last step until the [i]i[/i]powergames 2008 main event of Paris-Bercy, will take place online this weekend June 17, 18.

Steve Wright and Jason Georgiou will be the official RACE 07 drivers of the British team for the ipowergames finals in Paris.

During the Finals of the ipowergames 2008 in Paris, finalists on Call of Duty 4 and RACE 07 will compete for honour and glory… but also for prizes from Packard Bell!

4 European Race 07 servers are now available for you to practice on the official ipowergames 2008 racetracks.

After two intense weeks of competitions, the Swiss team “TETRIS” managed to come on top of the Swiss Call of Duty 4 qualifier. 12 teams of 5 players each struggled for the win but TETRIS were too strong on the day.

The new season of the ipowergames Trophy which will invite 8 European teams to the main Finals in Paris will be played on Call of Duty 4 and Race 07. The information about the national qualifiers is available on the competition pages.

The British Call of Duty 4 team “Meet Your Makers” is the first team to qualify for the ipowergames finals in Paris. They managed to win their qualification during the i33 Lan Party in the United Kingdom.

The Belgians have decided to send a mix team of the best Call of Duty 4 players from team CoolerMaster, LowLandLions and TEK9 to ipowergames Finals 2008 in Paris-Bercy. An impressive line-up, who might struggle to meet before the event to practice together – however, their proven skill of playing Call of Duty 4 will most certainly overcome any problems.
