The Ipowergames 2008

Designed by Packard Bell in 2007, Ipowergames sport initiative is a set of online and offline gaming tournaments which allow European gamers be they enthusiasts or pros to take part in a real top-notch competition with great prizes from Packard Bell. The Ipowergames 2008 will take place during the Paris Gaming Show to an audience of thousands.

Eight countries are involved for the season 2008 of the Ipowergames. Gamers from Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, the United-Kingdom, Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands are able to register for one of their national qualifiers. The specific details about national qualifier schedules and locations are mentioned on the national sub-pages of the participating countries.

The two multiplayer video games selected this year are “Call of Duty 4”, the action packed first person shooter game developed by Infinity Wards and published by Activision and “Race 07”, the brilliant racing simulation game developed by Simbin and published in France by Eidos.

The Ipowergames finals will be played in Paris from the 4th to the 6th of July during the Paris Gaming Show, one of the largest European festivals dedicated to the Video Games and Electronic Sports competitions, created by Games-Services, the organizers of the famous Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC).
